About the Scheme...

Shopmobility is the organised provision of Manual Wheelchairs, Powered Wheelchairs, Mobility Scooters and Walking Aids in a particular location to members of the public with limited mobility. These can be used for periods of up to a day.

Shopmobility enables people with impaired mobility; whether permanent or temporary, to engage or re-engage with their local communities. It encourages those who are elderly or those who are disabled to visit places where Shopmobility is available .

Shopmobility generates substantial local economic benefits, through scheme users their carers and friends using shops and services which are otherwise inaccessible.

Bill is an ex Transport Manager, Disabled, and is a Founder of Shopmobility Cymru/Wales  he is involved with various Disability groups, Bill lives in Tanygroes

David was Senior transport Manager for Ceredigion Social Services, he was also the Lecturer / Trainer for MIDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme,) and CDAT (Ceredigion Driver Awareness Trainer). David  is now retired lives in Pennant.
