About the Scheme...

Shopmobility is the organised provision of Manual Wheelchairs, Powered Wheelchairs, Mobility Scooters and Walking Aids in a particular location to members of the public with limited mobility. These can be used for periods of up to a day.

Shopmobility enables people with impaired mobility; whether permanent or temporary, to engage or re-engage with their local communities. It encourages those who are elderly or those who are disabled to visit places where Shopmobility is available .

Shopmobility generates substantial local economic benefits, through scheme users their carers and friends using shops and services which are otherwise inaccessible.

Doiran is an ex County Councillor and retired Teacher Doiran is also on various other committees Doiran lives in Drefach

Bill Irving Director / Trustee /Company Secretary

Bill is an ex Transport Manager, Disabled, and is a Founder of Shopmobility Cymru/Wales  he is involved with various Disability groups, Bill lives in Blaenannerch

Jaci Taylor Director/Trustee  Founder

Jaci is a employed by CYD she is ex Mayor of Aberystwyth. She is also on other committees Jaci lives in Bow Street

David Bazzone Director / Trustee Elected Nov 2002, Elected Chair 2005

David is Senior transport Manager for Ceredigion Social Services, he is also the Lecturer / Trainer for MIDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme,) and CDAT (Ceredigion Driver Awareness Trainer). David lives in Pennant.

Mrs Zoe Storer Minute Secretary from May 2004
Zoe is Remunerated for her work with us and is employed in a local estate agents Zoe lives in Parcllyn Aberporth.
